SIMEI Innovation Challenge “Lucio Mastroberardino”
|Where?||Halls C2 and C3|
|When?||September 12, 2017|
One of SIMEI's objectives is to reward innovation and technological creativity. For this reason, Unione Italiana Vini established the Innovation Challenge “Lucio Mastroberardino," which is open to all registered exhibitors who have a system, a machine or a product that is considered the "state of the art" in its sector.
The SIMEI Innovation Challenge was established to reward and give visibility to wine-making and vine-growing companies that employ resources and contribute to the development of sectors that are related to vineyard/winery and beverage chains. They include agriculture, viticulture, enology, agrarian mechanics and bottling/packaging of wine, water and drinks.
The Technological Innovation Award is a special honor for projects considered particularly noteworthy, whose development required extensive scientific expertise coupled with honed expertise and, above all, a contribution of ingenious minds capable of breaking old patterns and creating synergies in know-how.
The New Technology SIMEI Award is given to projects that combine process and product innovation in a manner that significantly improves the wine-making process.
Submissions will be evaluated by a Technical-Scientific Committee that includes authoritative representatives of the wine-making and vine-growing community, the scientific community and UIV-member wine-makers.
Organized by the Unione Italiana Vini, SIMEI has been held in Milan since 1963. It showcases products and solutions along the entire process chain for winemaking and brings together manufacturers and technologies from the entire industry.
