The fruit juice congress ‘International Fruit World’
(IFW) will in future be taking place at drinktec, the World Fair for
Beverage and Liquid Food Technology. This has been agreed by Messe
München GmbH and the publishing house ‘confructa
medien’.
The agreement is part of an extensive media cooperation. Accordingly,
‘confructa medien’ will be organising the next congress on
the themes of liquid fruit and fruit processing on two days during
drinktec 2009 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. The contracting
partners expect around 300 delegates from all over the world to take
part in the congress. For further information on ‘International
Fruit World’ go to:
www.ifw.confructa-medien.com.
Both sides see the congress and trade fair as an ideal combination, and
one that will bring mutual benefits. “The International Fruit
World fits superbly into the spectrum of themes covered by
drinktec,” says Exhibition Director Petra Westphal. “By
representing the entire beverages industry, including liquid food,
drinktec has a unique selling point as the world´s leading sector
meeting place. It makes perfect sense, therefore, that the fruit juice
industry should also focus on Munich.”
Evi Brennich, Managing Director of confructa medien, is interested in
drinktec´s clear focus on the beverages industry, and above all
in the international reach of this world fair: “Our strategy is
to further broaden the international scope of the congress. As a world
summit for the beverages industry, drinktec attracts visitors from over
160 countries and is therefore an ideal environment for the
congress.”
drinktec and IFW will be teaming up this year, too – from 21 to
23 April 2008 in Frankfurt. There three events are being held which
together constitute a kind of international event. Taking place
alongside the general meeting of members of SGF (Sure-Global-Fair, an
interest group for the fruit-juice industry previously known as
Schutzgemeinschaft der Fruchtsaftindustrie), is the EQCS (European
Quality Control System) Workshop ‘All about Orange’, and,
on 23 April, the 2008 edition of IFW. drinktec will be taking an
information stand at this event.
The next drinktec takes place from 14 to 19 September 2009. The event
is expected to attract around 1,500 exhibitors from 60 countries and
approximately 70,000 visitors from 170 countries.
